UDE FREE ZONE innovation competition aims to support UD students and local entrepreneurs develop their ideas into working solutions. UDE Free Zone will support the participants along the entire product development process and help them secure the necessary resources to implement their idea. UDE FREE ZONE aims to create a network of these innovators and shape the future UAE society.
Innovation Competition
The competition is communicated to UD students directly, and is advertised through UD online sources and posters in campus. The students are informed concerning the registration and submission processes.
Project Submission
The participants submit their project ideas. During this process they can receive consultation from dedicated UDE FREE ZONE members to enrich and polish their project proposals.
Competition Winners
All submitted proposals are evaluated from UDE FREE ZONE members and external academic and industrial experts from the corresponding application area.
Consultation and Support
The winners will receive tailored business training, and continuous consultation from internal and external advisors.
Prototype Development and Business planning
The winners develop a prototype/feasibility study to demonstrate their ideas and create suitable business plans to bring them to the market.
Start up and IP creation
The ideas are materialised through start up and IP creation. The projects are presented to VC companies and potential customers. Selected ideas could be subject to further support.
